Position Summary...

Do you have a passion for talent procurement and a track record of identifying emerging talent? Are you skilled at curating the perfect playlist for any event? Do you have the right contacts in Hollywood? If so, you might be ideal for the Senior Manager, Talent and License Procurement role within the Walmart Creative Studio.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in celebrity talent, influencer, and model casting, music supervision and licensing, and intellectual property procurement. This expertise will be used to select the right talent and music for WCS productions, aligning with the project brief.

In this role, you will collaborate with creative, marketing, and legal teams to identify and secure talent and music that elevate Walmart’s brand, while managing contracts and negotiations efficiently.

What you'll do...
  • Identify and secure celebrity talent, influencer talent, and models for Walmart’s marketing and advertising productions.
  • Conduct talent outreach and casting, including research and shortlist creation.
  • Support licensing workstreams, including ideation and negotiation.
  • Handle fee and terms negotiations, finalizing contracts with talent and licensors.
  • Work closely with creative, marketing, and legal teams to align on campaign goals and specifications.
  • Vet talent to ensure alignment with Walmart’s brand values.
  • Draft and negotiate talent contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Coordinate production logistics such as travel, glam teams, and shoot schedules.
  • Manage talent approvals during production and post-production stages.
  • Ensure timely payments and report procurement activities to senior management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with talent representatives, music licensors, and IP holders.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in talent and licensing, preferably in advertising or content creation.
  • Strong understanding of celebrity and influencer casting, music supervision, and licensing processes.
  • Experience working with union talent (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, AFM).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and contract management skills.
  • Established network within talent, music, and licensing industries.
  • Ability to innovate and improve talent and licensing processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail.
