What you'll do...

As a Senior Data Scientist at Walmart Corporate Affairs Technology, you will have the exciting opportunity to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI and machine learning models that empower corporate affairs to operate with increased efficiency and effectiveness. What you'll do:

1. Contribute to the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML projects, from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with Walmart's strategic goals.
2. Design and implement scalable cloud-based GenAI systems leveraging GCP, Azure, or Walmart proprietary cloud platforms.
3. Develop novel algorithms and leverage state-of-the-art AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch) to solve complex problems.
4. Build highly parallelized compute environments for processing large-scale datasets, optimizing performance across CPU and GPU architectures.
5. Collaborate with engineering, business, and operations teams to understand requirements and integrate data science solutions seamlessly.
6. Advocate for best practices in software development, including CI/CD, testing, and documentation.

What you'll bring:

• Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience with RAG, Agentic frameworks, Knowledge Graphs, NLP classical methods, and generative AI.
• 4+ years of experience in software development and data science focusing on AI/ML applications and mathematical modeling.
• Expertise in Python, C++, CUDA, and libraries like NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
• Strong cloud experience, especially with GCP.
• Knowledge of designing, building, and maintaining APIs for ML or data-driven applications.
• Hands-on NLP and recommender systems experience.
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL, and big data technologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in data science, machine learning, optimization, open source frameworks, and creating accessible digital experiences following WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
