$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Position Summary

What you'll do...

1. Process member purchases by operating a cash register and related hardware, using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
2. Maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile items.
3. Handle claims and returns, perform merchandising functions, identify shrink and damages, and ensure a safe work environment.
4. Monitor and resolve prescription fulfillment issues, process insurance claims, and alert patients to inventory issues or refills requiring physician approval.
5. Assist patients with prescription orders, maintain and secure paperwork, and provide customer service at the pharmacy.
6. Enter prescription data into pharmacy software, accurately transcribe prescription information, and create or modify patient records.
7. Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, measuring, or reconstituting medications, and label containers correctly.
8. Assist during prescription pickup, verify patient information, scan security tags, and gather signatures in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
9. Complete work assignments by collaborating with team members, prioritizing tasks, and seeking continuous improvement.
10. Comply with company policies, uphold ethics, and support a culture of respect and integrity.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.50-$22.50, with actual pay based on location, experience, and potential premiums for specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications

Must meet all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including age, qualifications, registration, or licensure. Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) within 9 months of employment.
