Job description

Position Summary...

Provides comprehensive patient care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and implementing other programs developed by Walmart in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations. Drives sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas through effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, developing and maintaining cross-functional relationships, and assessing economic trends and demographics.

Models, enforces, and provides guidance to Associates on proper customer service techniques to ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within company standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages associates to serve as community members. Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, implementing loss prevention and safety controls, and overseeing quality assurance reviews.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates, including training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing performance feedback, recognition, and fostering a workplace culture of belonging. Ensures confidentiality of information and records as required by policies and regulations.

Manages pharmacy operations, conducts associate meetings, and ensures operational alignment with company and regulatory standards, including HIPAA, SOP, and QA policies. Oversees inventory flow, monitors financial data, manages budgets, and ensures financial performance aligns with strategic goals.

Creates a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy, ensuring staff follow SOPs and safety protocols. Analyzes and improves quality and safety measures, and ensures proper counseling and documentation for health services provided.

Creates an environment centered on healthcare compliance, actively communicating and guiding compliance initiatives, and utilizing auditing processes to identify issues and implement improvements.

Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and fosters a culture of belonging. Works collaboratively, builds trust, communicates effectively, and attracts and retains talent. Acts with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, supporting Walmart's values, and promoting a positive impact on associates, customers, and the community.

Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and benefits including health, financial, paid time off, and other perks. The annual salary range for this position is $112,000 - $197,000, with additional bonuses and potential regional or complex structure pay.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent, and FPGEC (NABP).
Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, state pharmacy association sponsored).

Preferred Qualifications...

U.S. pharmacy-related experience.
