Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tours stores and provides feedback, teaches, communicates, and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved successfully. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and fosters a culture of belonging. Coordinates and oversees activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability. Identifies and addresses improvement opportunities and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates a workplace where associates feel supported and connected. Attracts and retains top talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes contributions. Acts with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics, and supports Walmart's culture and sustainability goals, including making a positive impact through initiatives like eliminating waste and local giving.

The position offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits, including health, financial, paid time off, and other perks. The annual salary range is $65,000.00-$80,000.00 plus differential, with additional compensation based on performance, location, and external factors.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
