Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Position Summary

Provides evidence-based vision care to ensure patients' health and well-being by recommending and prescribing medications and treatments, delivering routine vision care, educating patients and store associates on eye health, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care in accordance with scope of practice per state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and evaluate patients' visual and eye health.
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
• Order, interpret, and assess diagnostic tests relevant to eye health.
• Develop treatment plans based on clinical findings using evidence-based guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Provide exceptional customer service and patient education.

Additional Duties

• Represent the company in vision care and patient engagement activities.
• Assist in administrative tasks within the vision center.
• Support the vision center staff and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited school; licensed optometrist in good standing in the practice state.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare settings.
