Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Large Format Sales Director is to develop creative and influential sales strategies (pricing, promotion, assortment, and shelving proposals) with brokers and accounts (Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, and Meijer) that align with company initiatives and maximize regional volume, profit, and distribution.

Main Responsibilities
  • Sales Plan Development: Create and execute the annual regional sales plan to meet or exceed volume and profit goals, understanding the retailer landscape and competitive conditions.
  • Account Management: Maintain relationships with key account personnel and brokers, review performance metrics, and develop strategies to grow sales and market share.
  • Product Development: Recommend new product concepts and merchandising strategies to differentiate Idahoan and add value.
  • Personal Development: Enhance management, planning, decision-making, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Category Leadership: Provide category insights and growth strategies to retail partners, ensuring mutual success.
Qualifications/Required Skills
  • Degree from an accredited university plus 8-10 years of grocery industry experience.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to change.
Other Details

This role is primarily home-based but involves extensive travel for account meetings and market assessments.
