Job description

Position Summary...

What you'll do...
  1. Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
  2. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  3. Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives.
  4. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following and exemplifying the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  5. Manage and support customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
  6. Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and lead process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  7. Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring operational processes.
  8. Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing performance.
  9. Coordinate activities and assignments by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and promote a culture of belonging and diversity.
  11. Act with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, supporting Walmart's culture and values.
  12. Serve customers and members by delivering results, making data-driven decisions, and considering the needs of customers, associates, shareholders, and communities.
  13. Strive for excellence by encouraging continuous learning, adopting new technologies, and supporting change.

Minimum Qualifications...

2 years’ college OR 1 year’s retail experience with 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience with 1 year’s supervisory experience.

For firearm-related positions, successful completion of background checks and training is required.

Preferred Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Leadership or related fields, or certifications in People and Business Leadership.

Experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
