Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; develop interpersonal skills for customer service; maintain in‑stock levels and control shrinkage.
  • Plan bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs following recipe measurement instructions; work with a variety of products such as decorating bags, tips, nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items; ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; prepare for seasonal events; identify member needs; assist members with purchasing decisions; resolve member issues and concerns.
  • Act as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in bakery and modeling high‑quality service and products; interact with associates to understand roadblocks; assist in training, develop, influence, and inspire them; work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; execute business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and determine ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt and learn from change, difficulty, and feedback.

Compensation

The hourly wage range is $19.00 to $27.00 per hour, based on location. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances such as schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

  • At least 6 months of experience in a fresh production area.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successful completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

  • Cake Decorating.
