A leading retailer is seeking a Cake Decorator to enhance member service in their bakery area. You will collaborate with team members to create beautiful cake designs, ensure product quality, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates should have experience in fresh production and a passion for cake decorating. This role requires flexibility and teamwork to meet customer expectations while adhering to food safety standards.
As a Cake Decorator, you will drive member service in your area to deliver more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, provide excellent customer service, be flexible to business needs, maintain stock levels, and control shrinkage.
Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions, ensure consistency in quality and decorative designs, follow recipes and measurements, work with decorating tools to create decorative flowers and lettering, adhere to food safety standards, sanitation, cold chain, and inventory management, operate and sanitize equipment, and understand product and layout execution.
Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and increase associate engagement, utilize handheld technology for business decisions related to production, merchandising, and training, and encourage others to adopt new tools.
Be an Owner: Drive bakery area performance, ensure quality and date standards, eliminate waste, prepare for seasonal events, identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues.
Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand, model high-quality service, interact with associates to understand challenges, and support training, development, and motivation in a respectful and team-oriented manner.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implement related action plans, and foster a culture of belonging and respect.
Complete work assignments efficiently, communicate progress, collaborate with team members and partners, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to change.
6 months' experience in a fresh production area.
Must be 18 years or older.
Able to complete all required training and assessments successfully if hired.
Optional, but beneficial qualifications are listed below.
Specialized skills in decorating cakes, working with decorating tools, and creating decorative designs are preferred.
