Job summary

Amer Sports is seeking a Manager, Tax to oversee U.S. tax compliance, reporting, controversy, and governance for U.S. operations.

The role partners with Global Tax Director and indirect tax teams across time zones, and supports cross‑functional initiatives including ERP projects and tax digitalization. Office locations include Ogden (UT), New York City, and Chicago (IL); travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Strong U.S. tax compliance experience beyond income tax; coordinate with indirect tax stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage U.S. tax compliance across federal, state, and local areas including returns, estimated payments, extensions, and GL reconciliations.
• Lead nexus reviews, state tax research, and credits/incentives coordination with HR/Payroll.
• Oversee audits, notices, and controversy matters with internal/external teams.
• Support SOX‑aligned controls, SOPs, and tax process documentation.
