Job summary

Amer Sports, a global group of iconic sports and outdoor brands, is seeking a Manager, Tax to lead U.S. tax compliance, reporting, and controversy across our U.S. operations.

You will partner with the Global Tax Director and indirect tax teams, coordinating with Poland-based specialists and internal stakeholders across time zones. The role emphasizes ownership, strong communication, and collaboration, with exposure to SAP/S/4HANA, tax technology, and SOX control environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Strong U.S. tax compliance experience, with ability to manage beyond income tax and coordinate with indirect tax stakeholders.
• Experience managing tax audits, notices, and controversy matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Manage U.S. tax compliance across federal, state, and local tax areas, including returns, estimates, extensions, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate data requests and deliver information to service providers and stakeholders; leverage BI, Alteryx, and automation to improve reporting.
• Lead nexus reviews and state tax research; assess filing obligations and credits/incentives.
• Manage federal, state, and local tax audits, notices, and controversy matters; coordinate responses.
• Collaborate with international teams on cross-border tax initiatives and SOX/audit documentation.
