Job summary

Alexion Pharma Spain S.L. seeks a Head of US Strategic Initiatives and Operations in Boston to drive cross-functional initiatives within US Value and Access.

You will create executive narratives, lead task forces on AI and operating models, and inform capabilities that improve efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in biotech/pharma, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven ability to influence senior leaders with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience in biotech or pharma.
• Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex proposals.
• Strong understanding of US regulations and policies.
• Ability to communicate data-driven recommendations to senior leaders.
• Knowledge of US market access landscape and market access organizations.

Responsibilities

• Create executive-level narratives and recommendations for senior leadership endorsement and cross-functional alignment of key priorities.
• Lead task forces to address strategic initiatives (AI, launch modes, business reviews).
• Inform US Value and Access leadership on new capabilities and innovations.
• Lead impact modeling of environmental shifts on the portfolio.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with Strategic Account Leads, sales, Patient Services, and other teams.
• Ensure governance processes and major meeting schedules for Market Access.
• Co-lead annual operating plan development focusing on FTE and project spend.
• Lead market access-wide meetings, training and compliance initiatives.
• Manage market access budget activities in collaboration with Finance.
• Identify interdependencies and ensure end-to-end visibility and alignment.
