Job summary

Amex GBT in the United States is seeking an accomplished sales professional to drive growth in the Sports and Experience Studio within the US market. You will identify opportunities, convert prospects, and lead end-to-end RFI/RFP processes to win high-value events.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships at the C‑level, and navigate pricing, proposals, and contracts. A 5+ year track record in business development and events is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales negotiations and closing deals.
• 5+ years in business development, preferably in events or sports.
• Experience in live experiential events and the sports sector.
• Ability to liaise with C-level, marketing, procurement and event managers.
• Fluent in written and spoken Business English; second language a plus.
• Strong presentation, sales and negotiation skills in B2B settings.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive prospects through the selling lifecycle in the US live corporate events and Sports market environment.
• Contribute towards profitability by focusing on high revenue generating opportunities.
• Confidently sell our Sports and Experience Studio portfolio of services (Sourcing, Event Management, Group Travel & Logistics, Creative & Production).
• Collaborate with cross selling opportunities from Strategic Meeting and Business Travel clients.
• Generate new business leads and client conversions.
• Establish relationships and engage at key stakeholder level.
• Monitor market and competitor awareness and network in industry communities.
• Own RFI and RFP responses and processes, leading pricing, negotiations and contracting.
