Job summary

BCM in New York’s US Markets division seeks a senior specialist in US takeover situations and event-driven stories. You will research, advise and trade equities for hedge funds globally, collaborating with our European Equities teams to service buy-side clients.

The role demands deep knowledge of North American mergers, strong client relationships and rigorous risk management. On-site in New York, we value integrity, clear communication and precise analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Series 7 and 63 licenses
• 7+ years’ experience analyzing special situations and merger-arb opportunities
• In-depth knowledge of US takeover processes and ongoing North American mergers

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and analyzing North American corporate actions, mergers and special situations
• Producing relevant analysis and research on US situations
• Driving growth of US Special Situations franchise
• Integral part of research/idea distribution to hedge funds
• Growing client relationships as well as developing relationships internally with the broader Cash Equities business
• Understanding drivers of relevant markets and establishing a high degree of competence with the clients
