Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking a senior regulatory leader to guide US bank regulatory strategy and risk management. The role provides expert legal and strategic counsel to senior management and operates across US and global regulators.

You will lead a high-performing team of lawyers, collaborate with Legal, Public Affairs, and business units, and shape regulatory policy advocacy to support sustainable growth while staying compliant with evolving requirements.

Qualifications

• JD is a mandatory requirement.
• Experience at a US regulated bank or bank holding company strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of US and North America regulatory landscape and cross-Atlantic issues.
• Ability to influence senior sponsors and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal and strategic advice on US bank regulatory issues to senior management and functions.
• Lead regulatory policy advocacy initiatives with US and global regulators, in partnership with Legal, Public Affairs, and business teams.
• Build and lead an inclusive, high-performance team of lawyers across US and global functions.
• Partner with senior executives and business stakeholders to drive growth while effectively managing legal and regulatory risk.
• Oversee external spend related to regulatory advice and ensure value and control.
