The Proposal Writer is primarily responsible for the timely development and completion of all levels of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), Security Requests, and other related activities. This position encompasses the ability to fully comprehend basic, intermediate, and complex questions posed in the RFP and provide comprehensive responses. In addition, this role will work with Sales Leadership to create Executive Summaries and other strategic RFP communications that tell the ZeOmega story.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to understand the competitive environment for the proposal opportunity and assist in developing competitive response strategies.
- Develop accurate, differentiated, competitive, and comprehensive responses to RFP, RFI, security, and information questions that are 100% U.S. English grammatically correct, adhere to AP Style, and in a U.S. business executive-level style.
- Leverage content from Responsive, our proposal management tool, as a starting point. Ensure that each response, for each RFP, is customized for the unique client.
- Fully utilize AI features within Responsive to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Assist with writing compelling Executive Summaries and other strategic RFP communications documents.
- Exercise superior editing skills, ensuring content is correct, complete, concise, and well-written.
- Review and edit writing of Subject Matter Experts and fellow RFP team members to ensure response is presented in one voice” and that all standard editing conventions are followed.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, support multiple concurrent projects, and work well under deadlines.
- Manage assigned sections of the proposal production process, ensuring the final proposal product is of high quality, meets all specifications, and is delivered to the client on time.
- Ensure that the Responsive Content Library is current and comprehensive with archived RFP responses.
- Track the status of all proposals and projects for which you have been assigned work and provide update reports to management.
- Attend all RFP kick-off and project meetings.
- Work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. U.S. Central Time
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or technical school)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an RFP Writer/Editor/Manager role or equivalent. Related healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Superior writing and editing skills across mediums (RFP, PowerPoint Presentations, Word documents, Excel workbooks, etc.).
- Excellent grammatical skills and the ability to follow AP style, company writing conventions, and branding guides.
- Ability to work across all levels of Leadership and Subject Matter Experts to get the job completed with high quality and within deadlines.
