Position Responsibilities


Join our innovative, friendly writing team, working on documentation to support our Deltek product initiatives. You will work directly with subject matter experts to drive the development of internal and customer-facing content including product documentation, compliance documentation, training materials, and other technical documentation. You will also help improve processes for content development and delivery, and work to ensure consistency and standardization across all materials. The ideal candidate is an independent and curious self-starter with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical content, drive complex documentation projects, collaborate with technologists, and quickly grasp new technical concepts with enthusiasm.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Education, or a related area of study.
    A minimum of 2-5 years in a technical writing role, producing content for complex application software and processes.
  • Excellent English writing skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts and processes to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience working directly with engineers and other technical subject matter experts
  • Advanced knowledge of English grammar and composition, as well as facility with technical writing best practices.
  • Excellent writing samples demonstrating ability to write conceptual and procedural material.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Technical aptitude and a basic understanding of software development processes.
  • The potential to become fluent with XML authoring tools, content management systems, and collaboration and source-control tools.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.


Compensation Information


The U.S. salary range for this position is $57000.00 - $99750.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
