Compensation Note: Indicative grade - Hay 37/S1, subject to job grade evaluation and candidate level of experience.

Role Summary

The U.S. Procurement Manager manages and coordinates Oxide’s U.S. Procurement team’s activities. The incumbent ensures that raw materials, technical materials, plant services, and logistics are safely and reliably secured at the lowest cost, guaranteeing uninterrupted operations and superior customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with SHE policies, operational safety, and environmental regulations, including supplier risk assessments, documentation control, and adherence to safety, quality, regulatory, and SCOC standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop an efficient procurement team, establish KPIs, set goals, evaluate performance, mentor staff, and foster a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver procurement strategies across all categories, guide negotiations to achieve low cost and favorable terms, conduct market reviews, and coordinate with business, operations, and supply chain to meet delivery needs and avoid stockouts.
  • Maintain and enforce Delegation of Authority (DOA) to ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
  • Assist or direct contract negotiations, review contract language, manage the end‑to‑end contract process, and secure favorable terms in indemnification, liability, insurance, warranties, and other legal requirements.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of front‑line procurement experience in the chemical industry.
  • Degree in engineering or related master’s degree; fluency in English.
  • Proven supervisory skills and experience leading a diverse team.
  • Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of cost drivers in contracts.
  • Advanced negotiation, analytical, and economic analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of SHE aspects in chemical production and distribution.
  • Understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, contract law, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in KPI tracking, MS Office, and SAP tools.
  • Behavioral traits: decisive, tenacious, leadership, analytical mindset, calm under pressure, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular sitting, moderate movement, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Valid visual focus, hearing at normal speaking levels.
  • Office environment temperature‑controlled.
