Job summary

The role requires strong knowledge of payroll tax rules, attention to detail, and excellent communication. You will collaborate with finance and tax teams to ensure accurate tax filings and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferably in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years payroll accounting/tax experience.
• Extensive experience with Payroll tax processing and Federal, State and Local tax laws.
• Strong experience with Payroll tax preparation software (ADP/Smart Compliance).
• Advanced MS Excel and strong reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Researching transaction tax issues, investigating employee tax inquiries and responding with appropriate actions.
• Interpreting and complying with state, local, and international statutes, regulations, and legislation.
• Preparing for, and assisting with, internal and external tax audits.
• Preparing and/or reviewing indirect tax filings.
• Prepare quarterly tax fillings for Puerto Rico Chauffers Tax.
