Infosys Finacle is expanding its US Payments capability and seeks a subject matter expert with deep knowledge of US payment systems, rules, and industry practices. The SME will guide engineering, product, and clients on standards versus customization, and contribute to multi-year roadmaps for US banks and international players operating in the United States.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in US payments product development or implementation.

Job description

Finacle is expanding its US Payments product capability and is seeking a subject matter expert with deep knowledge of US payment systems, operating rules, industry practices and practical implementation across large and small US banks, as well as foreign banks operating in the United States. The SME will advise engineering and product teams, conduct market analysis, guide clients on industry practices, and help determine which capabilities should be delivered as standard product features versus client-specific customizations. US Payments Product implementation experience is essential.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of experience developing or implementing payment products in the US market, either with a software vendor or within a bank transformation program.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing payment solutions across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through design, development, testing, deployment and implementation.
• Hands-on experience testing payment products for the US market
• Candidate must have worked in at least 2 of the USA specific rails in depth – FedNow, TCHRTP, Fedwire, CHIPS, ACH, SWIFT.
• End-to-end knowledge covering payment initiation through messages or user interfaces,
• orchestration, processing, settlement, exception handling and last-mile network connectivity.
• Practical awareness of emerging and alternative payment and settlement models, including stablecoins, tokenized deposits, Visa B2B solutions and Mastercard real-time payment capabilities.
• Experience contributing to product strategy and multi-year roadmaps

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand and keep up to date on the North America payment trends and also global trends and advise clients on appropriate transformation strategies.
• Guide engineering, product development and product quality teams using US banking practices, payment rules, market insight and implementation experience.
• Define solutions for market requirements and client problems by combining domain expertise with product knowledge.
• Assess market-standard versus client-specific requirements and provide recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and presentations for prospective clients, existing clients, internal stakeholders and executive management.
• Present strategic options, market trends, cost-benefit analyses and recommendations to executive management
• Create high-quality functional and solution documentation, including Functional Requirements Specifications, Business Requirements Documents and System Requirements Specifications.
• Translate requirements into epics, features, user stories, use cases and solution designs within an Agile delivery model.
• Coordinate across distributed, cross-functional teams and support delivery across time zones.
• Collaborate with implementation teams, technical architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure product solutions meet business objectives.
• Develop product roadmaps with stakeholders and drive delivery against market and client priorities.
• Participate in organization-level innovation programs that create new products and portfolios for organic and inorganic growth.
• Follow Safe Agile Practices and coordination among multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of overall experience in banking software, or a bank environment
• 10+ years of US payments experience, including successful implementation at one or more banks
• Minimum Business or Engineering Degree required from a reputed university
• Strong knowledge of US payment orchestration, payment processing, message handling, bulk and individual payment processing, settlement, exceptions, relevant regulations and disclosures.
• Working knowledge of ISO 20022 and ISO 15022, with field-level implementation expertise in at least two of the following: ACH, SWIFT, Fedwire, CHIPS, FedNow Service or The Clearing House RTP network.
• Working knowledge of partner systems and integrations, including channels, fraud, AML, sanctions and compliance systems, and last-mile network connectivity Knowledge on any of the Payment systems in USA Market is desirable – Infosys Finacle All Payments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels and to clients.
• Strong Agile knowledge is required; SAFe experience is preferred
• Knowledge of cloud hyperscalers and delivery models such as PaaS, SaaS and managed services.
• Working knowledge of SQL is preferred. Experience with UNIX, message queues, SOAP APIs and REST APIs is an advantage.
• Payments or Agile certifications are an advantage.
