Job summary
Dow seeks an experienced Natural Gas Trader to join the Feedstocks and Commodities organization in Houston, TX. You will manage a mid-nine-figure portfolio, develop trading and hedging strategies, and execute transactions across futures, swaps, and options while identifying market opportunities.
The role requires a strong track record in natural gas or related commodities, deep risk controls, and the ability to travel as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent military experience.
- 7+ years of relevant working experience in natural gas or related commodity trading.
- US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute trading and hedging strategies in gas-related markets.
- Generate trading profit and manage risk within approved parameters.
- Execute transactions using futures, swaps, options, and other derivatives.
- Identify arbitrage opportunities across regions, products, and time structures.
- Build and maintain relationships with traders, producers, consumers, refiners, brokers, and banks.
- Support research with market views, pricing forecasts, and trading recommendations for senior management.
