Serova seeks a board-certified oncologist to lead direct patient interactions in the US and oversee clinical care for US patients. This role partners with our physicians, patient case managers and operations team to advance expanded access and vaccine programs.
The ideal candidate will build a US physician network, collaborate with partner sites and advocates, and help shape the future US clinical site strategy for Serova.
Serova builds personalized cancer vaccines. Each vaccine is made for the individual patient from their own samples and given in partnership with their treating physician. We work directly with patients and their families, and our physicians talk to them every day. We're now building our US clinical team.
Our UK physicians talk to and meet with patients every day. This role is their US counterpart: the physician our US patients and their families speak to.
Talk to and meet US patients and their families about their diagnosis, their options, and what Serova can offer beyond their current plan
Provide day-to-day clinical oversight of US patients in our care, working closely with our patient case managers
Give physician input and sign-off on expanded access and compassionate use cases, with our clinical operations team
Build our US network of treating physicians, partner sites and referral relationships
Represent Serova clinically in the US with partner sites, key opinion leaders and patient advocates
Help shape the US side of our vaccine program and our future US clinical site
A board-certified oncologist who wants to spend your time with patients, not in a hospital system
Comfortable telling a patient what else is possible beyond their current plan
High agency, warm and low ego
MD or DO, US board certified in oncology
An active California medical license, or able to get one quickly
Based in San Francisco, or willing to relocate
Authorized to work in the US
Expanded access, single-patient INDs or treatment outside standard of care
Immunotherapy or cancer vaccine experience, including managing immune-related toxicities
Patient-facing work outside the hospital, such as concierge medicine, private practice or patient advocacy
You’ve built a clinical service, network or referral relationships from scratch
Clinical trial investigator experience
Molecular tumor board experience
