Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the pediatric orthopedic Outpatient Department in Spokane. You will assist providers and health care professionals, help with casting and dressing, document in the EMR, and prep the clinic for daily operations.

Required: High School Diploma/GED, Certified Medical Assistant, and BLS. Preferred: Associate Degree in Medical Assistant, CMA/RMA/N CMA, 1 year pediatric ambulatory care, EMR experience, and Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and intake/depart processes.
• Documents information in the EMR system accurately.
• Preps clinic and monitors supplies/equipment for daily operations.
• Casts, splinting, dressing application, removal and skin care instructions.
