Job summary

Shriners Spokane is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join the pediatric orthopedic outpatient team. You will assist providers and nursing staff, help with intake and rooming, and support casting, splinting, dressing, and skin care instructions to families.

The position requires a CMA with BLS certification and a high school diploma; pediatric ambulatory care experience is preferred. You will document in the EMR, prep the clinic for daily operations, and coordinate with the RN as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and nursing staff with procedures and intake/depart processes.
• Demonstrate casting, splinting, dressing application, removal and skin care instructions.
• Accurately document information in the EMR and prep the clinic for daily operations.
• Monitor supplies and equipment, order supplies as needed.

Shriners Spokane is looking for a part-time Medical Assistant to join the team.**Key Responsibilities:*** Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and depart processes.* Demonstrates skills necessary to assist with casting, splinting, and dressing application, removal and cleaning.* Safely removes casts, cleans patient, covers affected limb and instructs family on skin care.* Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)* Responsible for prepping clinic to be prepared for that day's clinic to include monitoring supplies and equipment and ordering supplies* Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed**Required Qualifications:*** High School Diploma/GED* Certified Medical Assistant* Basic Life Support (BLS)**Preferred Qualifications:*** Associate Degree, Medical Assistant* RMA, CCMA, NCMA* 1 year Pediatric/Ambulatory Care experience* EMR Systems* Spanish ProficiencyThe pay range for this position is $19.97 - $29.95.
