Job summary

Northern Trust invites a seasoned investment operations leader to co‑head US Investment Operations. This executive will shape strategy and oversee daily NTAM operations across client onboarding, trading support, and model management, in close partnership with Investments, Technology, and risk teams.

The role emphasizes scalable processes, governance, and a global operating model to support a wide client base and complex portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
• 20+ years of work in investment management with leadership of operational functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead core investment operations functions including client onboarding, system setups, front office support, rebalancing, and model execution across NTAM.
• Oversee follow-the-sun model and drive best practices and standards across regions.
• Develop governance, control framework, and KPIs to ensure timely, accurate information and risk reduction.
• Manage vendor relationships with brokers, platforms, custodians, and fund accountants; drive cost efficiency.
• Hire, motivate and retain talent; build bench strength and organizational resiliency.
• Partner with Investments, Product, Marketing, Distribution, Data Office and Tech to implement strategic roadmap.
