Northern Trust is seeking a Sr. Consultant in Chicago to lead client service operations across Investment Operations Outsourcing. You will govern processes, drive improvements, and coordinate with clients, teams, and partners to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.

The role emphasizes governance, project leadership, and stakeholder collaboration. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in financial services, strong communication, and proven ability to manage multiple initiatives with precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of relevant financial services experience.
• Experience in Investment Operations, Asset Management, or Financial Services Operations.
• Prior client service experience in a service-oriented environment.
• Experience driving process improvements, operational enhancements, or technology initiatives.
• Proficiency with standard Microsoft tools and learning business systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, high-quality client service by managing execution and governance while meeting milestones, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Lead and support internal, client-driven, and cross-functional change initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external partners and act as a SME for client servicing and operational processes.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to support collaboration and service delivery.
• Independently resolve client inquiries and operational issues with timely communication.
• Identify opportunities to improve technology, workflows, and service delivery with actionable plans.
• Drive change and establish operating procedures to strengthen governance and consistency.
• Chair regular meetings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor team members through knowledge sharing, onboarding, and training.
