Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an Investment Associate to support delivery of investment advice and exceptional service to sophisticated family offices, trusts, foundations, and other complex client relationships. You will collaborate with a team to assist with client administration, portfolio analysis, research, and firm-wide activities, developing a deep understanding of objectives and portfolio strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management capabilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

Partner with portfolio advisors to prepare for client meetings, portfolio reviews, and investment discussions.
Produce accurate performance, asset allocation, cash flow, exposure, and investment materials.
Develop understanding of client objectives, targets, liquidity needs, and risk tolerance; support investment research and due diligence.
Coordinate with investment, fiduciary, banking, tax, operations, compliance, and reporting partners to resolve client and portfolio matters.
