Job summary

Twitch is seeking a US and international tax manager to support tax planning for its digital entertainment business. You will report to the Senior Director, Head of Tax in Seattle and work with the Twitch Tax team across planning and compliance as Twitch expands globally.

You will analyze tax impacts of Twitch projects, manage outside counsel, educate partners, and socialize tax requirements with Legal, Accounting, Marketing, and Commerce teams as the company grows.

Qualifications

• CPA or JD with tax practice experience.
• 3+ years in Big 4, law firm, or equivalent in-house multinational tax.
• Experience advising on US and international tax issues for digital businesses.
• Familiarity with direct and indirect tax concepts including VAT/DAC7.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document U.S. and non-U.S. direct and indirect tax, and tax reporting and compliance impacts of Twitch projects and initiatives.
• Manage outside counsel and external tax advisors on advisory requests and documentation.
• Educate business clients/partners and cross-functional stakeholders on tax issues and analyses.
• Socialize final tax requirements with Legal, Accounting, Marketing, Commerce, and other teams.

Education

CPA or JD (LLM, Master of Tax, or relevant tax practice experience)

3+ years experience in a Big 4, law firm, and/or equivalent in-house environment supporting multinational digital enterprises on tax planning.

Recent experience providing practical business facing guidance regarding U.S. and/or non-U.S. tax issues pertaining to international digital businesses and digital products.

Familiarity with direct and indirect tax concepts (e.g., US income tax, US withholding tax, and US tax reporting, treaty PEs and other pertinent concepts, transfer pricing, US SALT, and non-US VATs, DSTs, and non-US reporting- e.g., DAC 7).
