Amazon is seeking an Indirect Tax Senior Manager to lead indirect tax support for our digital and devices businesses, including Alexa, Twitch, Amazon Music and Amazon Leo. You will be the tax partner these businesses rely on as they launch new products, enter new countries and build new commercial models, working directly with Product, Engineering, Finance and Legal so that tax is right at launch.

The role covers connected devices, digital services and streaming and gaming, and satellite

Qualifikationen

• Must have extensive indirect tax experience and leadership.
• Partner with product, engineering, Finance and Legal to embed tax at launch.
• Advise on customer-facing outputs and tax terms.

Aufgaben

• Owning the indirect tax position for new product launches, country expansions and changes to commercial models from design through launch and ongoing operation.
• Partnering with business and product teams early in the development cycle so that tax is reflected in business requirements.
• Working with Tech/Engineering teams to translate tax requirements into system logic, resolve open points and test the outcome before launch.
• Advising on customer-facing outputs, including invoicing, billing, pricing displays and customer communications.
• Advising on the tax terms of customer, vendor and content agreements.
• Assessing and quantifying indirect tax risk, supporting reserve and disclosure positions with Accounting, and keeping the business informed of relevant changes in law.
• Managing external advisors: setting the scope of advice, evaluating the output independently and reaching a sound position.
• Handling engagement with tax authorities, including audits and enquiries.
• Providing technical direction to and developing more junior colleagues.
