Job summary

Novartis is seeking an Associate Director, US Insurance, to shape and execute the US commercial insurance strategy and advise business leaders on risk transfer and governance. You will lead insurance placements, manage complex claims, and oversee brokers while collaborating with Legal, finance, and operations to protect company interests and optimize coverage across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience managing corporate insurance programs and complex claims.
• Strong knowledge of policy placement and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, placement, and renewal of U.S. commercial insurance programs.
• Manage complex claims and coordinate with Legal, brokers, insurers, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee brokers and service providers, set performance standards, ensure cost-effective support.
• Provide guidance on contractual risk-transfer provisions and insurance requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, SOX reporting, and compliance.
• Support M&A integration, process optimization, and risk analyses within Corporate Insurance.
