Job summary

Eco Outdoor seeks a Head of Finance, USA to lead the finance function from Beverly Hills. You will be the senior US finance leader, building a finance team and partnering with Sydney finance colleagues to support rapid growth.

You will own US financial reporting, tax/compliance, budgeting and cash flow, and drive improvements in data, systems and processes using NetSuite and Salesforce. This role combines leadership with hands-on execution in a high-growth, inventory-based business.

Qualifications

• We require a degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA (or equivalent, e.g. CA/ACCA).
• 7+ years post-qualification experience with strong technical accounting and solid financial planning skills.
• Senior finance experience in a small/mid-sized, fast-growing business with close, external audit, sales tax and payroll responsibilities.
• Track record of building and developing teams.
• Interest in data, systems and continuous improvement.
• Experience in inventory-based business (import, distribution or manufacturing) is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Own financial reporting and month-end close for the US business and lead the external audit.
• Maintain compliance across multiple states (sales tax) and payroll; manage accountants/advisors.
• Apply strong inventory, landed cost and margin expertise to purchasing, pricing and growth.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and business planning as we open new showrooms.
• Manage banking, treasury and cash flow; handle FX exposure on Euro-denominated inventory.
• Ensure value for money from vendors and competitive purchasing.
• Partner with SVP - USA and US management to drive decisions; coach the US finance team.
