Anduril Industries is seeking a Legal Counsel‑Government Contractors to support our growth in US government and international contracts. The role sits on the Deal Team, handling licensing, bids, and compliance across multiple government programs from Reston, VA, and other sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work on US Government or International contracts matters, preferably with a law firm or in‑house at a government contractor
• Solid understanding of the government procurement process; contract vehicles and types, including non‑traditional and CAS coverage, software acquisition approaches, and data rights issues
• Judgment and initiative to own multiple projects end‑to‑end, guiding teams through deal lifecycles or handling legal issues in defense/startups
• Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Quick learner and independent performer, capable of contributing to a broader start‑up legal function including IP, litigation, financing, securities, compliance, and employment law
• Licensed to practice law in CA, DC, OH, or VA
• Must be a U.S. Person due to export control information access

Responsibilities

• Be a key member of Anduril’s small, dynamic Legal Team.
• Drive government contract growth by executing new contracts and expanding existing ones, guiding strategy with Business Development, Proposal, and Engineering teams.
• Manage relationships with procurement offices at Government agencies and foster high‑trust collaborations.
• Provide legal counsel and day‑to‑day management of acquisitions lifecycle, oversee major proposals, monitor large contracts, negotiate, and ensure compliance.
• Work on all legal aspects of the business, including licensing, licenses/services, bid protests, litigation, IP, compliance, and employment matters; coordinate with outside counsel, vendors, engineers, executives, customers, and regulators.
