Pasona Inc. in New York City (SoHo) seeks an experienced Accounting and General Affairs Manager to join our US operations. The role requires hands-on accounting under US GAAP, J-SOX experience, and close collaboration with headquarters in Japan.

As one of the first U.S. employees, you will establish accounting operations, manage daily processes (GL, AP/AR, month-end), support internal controls, audits, and general affairs including HR administration as the business grows.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Strong hands-on accounting experience, including month-end closing and financial reporting under US GAAP.
• MUST have hands-on J-SOX experience working for a Japanese-owned company in the United States.
• Experience with consolidation reporting and financial reporting to Japan headquarters.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting processes, and audit requirements.
• Japanese language skills are highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in a startup, small subsidiary, or growing organization is a plus.
• Flexible, proactive, and willing to handle responsibilities beyond traditional accounting duties.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP.
• Prepare consolidation reporting packages and coordinate financial reporting with Japan headquarters.
• Support J-SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for the U.S. entity.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers.
• Support general affairs, HR administration, and other operational responsibilities as needed.
• Assist with building accounting and administrative processes as the U.S. business expands.
