Conagra Brands seeks a Principal Food Labeling Specialist to guide U.S. labeling compliance across Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, Legal, Government Affairs, Marketing, and Product Development.

You will independently manage labeling reviews and provide regulatory guidance to support product commercialization across a diverse portfolio. The role involves reviewing artwork, labeling content, and claims for FDA/FSIS compliance, and obtaining label approvals as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
• 3+ years of food industry experience in food labeling, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of FDA and/or USDA labeling regulations.
• Experience reviewing food packaging, artwork, and product claims for regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of food product development, manufacturing processes, food safety, allergens, and ingredient regulations.
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to drive compliant business outcomes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting a variety of food categories and product formats preferred.
• Demonstrated success working independently and exercising sound regulatory judgment.

Responsabilités

• Provide U.S. food labeling guidance to teams across Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, Legal, Government Affairs, Marketing, and Product Development.
• Review and approve product artwork, packaging, and labeling materials for compliance with FDA/FSIS and company requirements.
• Develop and maintain mandatory label content including ingredient statements, allergen declarations, nutrition panels, claims, weight statements, and product naming.
• Evaluate labeling claims and marketing language to ensure compliant and practical solutions that support brand objectives.
• Research, interpret, and communicate current and emerging labeling regulations and industry trends.
• Support new product launches, renovations, and packaging changes with timely labeling guidance throughout development.
• Obtain USDA/FSIS label approvals, temporary approvals, and extensions as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve labeling processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Respond to labeling and regulatory inquiries and identify compliant solutions to complex issues.
• Manage multiple projects independently while balancing priorities and deadlines.
