Job summary

Energy Exemplar is seeking a Senior Energy Market Analyst to lead energy market model projects and PLEXOS implementations across the Americas. The role focuses on forecasting energy prices, portfolio optimization, risk management, and strategic investment evaluation for entities like System Operators and regulators.

You will gather customer requirements, calibrate models, deliver training, and support business development through technical presentations, RFIs/RFPs, and market studies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electricity markets, power trading or planning & operations
• Experience in energy market modelling via optimization/unit commitment
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of standard MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements and design PLEXOS-based modeling solutions
• Provide industry best practices and analyze model outcomes
• Calibrate models to historical benchmarks and advise on applications
• Develop test plans and deliver training on PLEXOS usage
• Develop Proof of Concept models to showcase Energy Exemplar solutions
• Support sales with tailored solutions and respond to RFIs/RFPs
• Deliver technical presentations and contribute to product roadmap insights
