Job summary

Scotiabank in Dallas seeks a professional to contribute to the implementation of the U.S. Cyber and IT Risk Management Framework across the second line of defense. The role involves oversight, governance, reporting, and education to support risk frameworks across U.S.

businesses. You will collaborate with lines of business, challenge IT risk components in the RCSA, monitor cyber risk, and ensure compliance with IT Risk Policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT/CS/engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in technology departments and/or risk management, preferably in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of the U.S. Cyber and IT Risk Management Framework as a 2nd line of defense for the Bank.
• Collaborate with lines of business, advising on IT risks that influence objectives while maintaining oversight and challenge.
• Execute challenges of IT risk components in the RCSA process for the U.S., covering entities, processes and business lines.
• Challenge IT incidents to identify root causes and support remediation actions.
• Assist with deep dives or thematic reviews to assess control effectiveness and identify remediation gaps.
