Job summary

Lactalis American Group is seeking an Associate Manager, US Compensation in the U.S. market. This role can be based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL. You will shape compensation programs, lead cycles, and partner with HR and Finance to attract, retain, and reward talent.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in compensation within manufacturing/CPG, strong analytics, and proficiency with compensation systems. This position offers a path to leadership within a decentralized organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive compensation or total rewards experience in a manufacturing/CPG environment.
• Experience supporting multiple business units, functions, or locations within a decentralized organization.
• Experience administering compensation systems (e.g., SuccessFactors) and compensation survey platforms.
• Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of job evaluation methodologies and market-based compensation strategies.
• French language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of compensation programs across multiple business units.
• Partner with the Director to execute U.S. compensation strategy aligned with goals and market competitiveness.
• Manage annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and equity processes.
• Ensure consistency, equity, and alignment across compensation practices across BU needs.
• Serve as trusted advisor to HRBPs and business leaders on offers, promotions, retention, and org design.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition to support initiatives.
• Conduct market analysis using surveys to ensure competitive positioning.
• Design and refine salary structures, incentive plans, and job architectures.
