US Classification Data Analyst – PoV Expert

Job summary

Sentra is hiring its first US Classification Data Analyst to become the go-to expert on data classification for US customers. You will join the Solutions Architecture team, reporting to the Director of Solutions Architecture, and collaborate with our R&D Data Analysts in Israel.

You will own classification requests for US PoVs, validate results before customer calls, tune classifiers using established procedures, and bring complex problems to R&D with complete handoffs and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role at a SaaS or security company.
• Startup experience and comfort with ambiguity.
• Proficiency with SQL (Athena or similar) and regular expressions.
• Git and code literacy; ability to read Python scripts and follow code.
• Clear, structured communication; ability to hand off to a teammate without a call.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for classification requests from US customers and PoVs, coordinating with Sales Engineers, Solutions Architects, TAMs, Support and Customer Success.
• Own classification on PoV engagements: validate results and join customer calls as the classification expert.
• Tune classification using approved procedures: adjust keywords, build regex and dictionary classes, run re-analysis.
• Identify false positives/negatives and clearly explain classification decisions and future changes.
• Escalate complex issues to R&D with a complete handoff for action without follow-up calls.
• Track requests and outcomes to generate insights on volume, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Spot cross-PoV patterns to inform changes in classification, processes, or runbooks.
• Keep runbooks current by reporting gaps and updating instructions as the product evolves.
