Description
Position Overview

As Green Bay Packaging continues to grow, we are now looking for a Sales Representative for our Chicago, IL area. The successful candidate must be a dedicated, eager, driven sales professional with Industrial Sales experience to join our team. The selected candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating new leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The sales representative will build on our existing relationships and develop new business with large and small customers. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills and the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. The ideal candidate must be both personable and professional.
Travel requirements include 2-3 overnights per month.

The selected candidate will be based in Chicago, IL because of its central location relative to most of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, and availability.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customers. Willingly recommending products to customers, anticipating their needs and interests.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • Perform follow-up calls. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates. Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. Building solid relationships with our customers.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales. Develop and implement territory action plan using comprehensive data analysis, preparing sales reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports. Obtain credit information about prospective customers.

  • Commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Pressure Sensitive, label, printing, adhesives, coating or paper experience is a plus
In addition to a competitive wage, the selected candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package (day 1) including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, wellness programs, STD, LTD, life insurance, company matching 401(k) and pension. Green Bay Packaging benefits may vary by position or division.

Salary range for our sales representative is $100,000, plus $20,000-$40,000 in commissions and a company car.
