LILT, Inc. is seeking senior linguists to join our Medical Talent Community. The role targets Life Sciences content, including patient communications and clinical documentation, with emphasis on healthcare terminology.

Candidates must be US-based, have native Romanian and English proficiency, and a strong translation background. As a 1099 contractor, you can work flexibly with access to a secure verification process via smartphone.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Romanian with fluency in English.
• Must be physically located in the United States.
• Must have access to a smartphone for secure identity verification purposes.
• A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR
• A graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR
• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• The ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.
• Professional experience in translation and localization within the Medical/Life Sciences domains.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Review: Adapting and validating target text to meet U.S. healthcare compliance standards.
• Life Sciences Expertise: Demonstrable experience in translating for healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or clinical settings.
• Standard Operating Procedures: Ability to work within strict quality environments and adhere to ISO 17100 quality standards.
• Identity Verification: Ability to complete a secure login/verification process via smartphone, as required by the end client’s system.
