Job summary

LILT, Inc. is seeking independent contractors with native-level language proficiency for translation and localization work across marketing content. You’ll translate, edit, and ensure cultural nuance while applying current language standards.

This role supports cross-functional teams and involves evaluating language model outputs and providing feedback. As a 1099 contractor, you can work from anywhere with no fixed hours.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in the target language(s).
• Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time translation experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate content between English US and your native language while preserving cultural nuance and clarity.
• Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
• Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices to all deliverables.
• Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for your language-speaking markets.
• Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.
• If transcreation is required, adapt text beyond the source to read naturally in the target language.
