Job summary

LILT invites freelance linguists to join its translation pool. Work across Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and more. Translate, edit, and localize content between English and your native language, ensuring cultural nuance.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in the target language(s).
• A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR
• A graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR
• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate content between English and target language while preserving nuance and clarity.
• Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and context across digital platforms.
• Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices to all deliverables.
• Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for markets.
• Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.
• Perform transcreation when required to read naturally in the target language.
