Job summary

Anthropic seeks a Regulatory Counsel to lead US AI regulatory work and support its global regulatory posture. You will be the in-house adviser on US AI rules, helping design compliance programs and engaging with regulators and standards bodies.

You will coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Safeguards, Security, Policy, Research, and product teams to translate evolving requirements into practical controls and scalable programs. Offices in SF/NY offer hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience advising a technology business on emerging regulatory regimes.
• Experience engaging with regulators, enforcement agencies, or standards bodies in non-contentious roles.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts for technical, policy, product, and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as in-house regulatory counsel for US AI regulation, providing readiness and day-to-day guidance.
• Own US regulatory deliverables end-to-end, including safety and transparency frameworks and incident reporting.
• Track and analyze US federal/state and international developments; design proactive compliance approaches.
