Job summary

Verathon, a global medical device company headquartered in Bothell, WA, is seeking an Upstream Product Manager to shape the next generation of urology bladder volume devices.

You will define, develop, and deliver differentiated products from concept through launch readiness, working closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to translate clinical insights into clear product requirements supported by strong business cases.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience translating clinical or customer insights into clear product requirements.
• Experience building and defending business cases, including market assessment and pricing strategy.
• Experience operating within structured product development processes and stage-gate environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of global urology care environments through structured Voice-of-Customer initiatives and Key Opinion Leader engagement.
• Identify and define new product opportunities by synthesizing clinical insight, workflow dynamics, competitive landscape, and business strategy.
• Translate validated unmet needs into clear, prioritized product requirements and differentiated value propositions.
• Lead the development of robust business cases with market modeling, pricing strategy, and return analysis.
• Serve as the commercial lead within cross-functional core teams, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, and cost discipline at each stage gate.
• Apply Design Thinking and BioDesign to guide concept generation, validation, and refinement.
• Integrate AI-enabled capabilities and data-driven thinking into product concepts where justified.
• Partner with Human Factors Engineering to plan formative usability testing.
• Ensure the complete product solution supports validated customer and stakeholder needs.
