Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• NBSTSA certification within one year of hire date and maintained thereafter.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.
• At Mayo Clinic Arizona additional NBSTSA certification exemption for hires before 11/20/2024 may apply.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Assists in selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation, equipment and supplies; applies sterile and aseptic technique.
