Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide safe, efficient care during the perioperative period under RN supervision and in collaboration with the surgeon.

Responsibilities include instrument prep, sterile technique, and assisting the surgical team. Requires graduation from an accredited tech program, NBSTSA cert within 1 year, and BLS. At least 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or military surgical technology program.
• NBSTSA certification required within one year of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.
• At least one year of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Selects, prepares, and maintains instrumentation, equipment, and supplies; applies sterile and aseptic technique.
