Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Urology specialty in Chestnut Hill, MA. The role involves direct patient care, education, and care coordination within a 40-hour workweek (8:30 AM to 5 PM).

Responsibilities include medication administration, EMR documentation, triage calls, and contributing to quality improvement while supporting the clinical team to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State-approved school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted, license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• EMR experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic and supportive relationships with patients and families, providing education and managing care transitions.
• Deliver patient care and follow-up in alignment with RN protocols, including medication administration and chronic disease management.
• Conduct telephone triage, elevate concerns appropriately, and support the clinical team with ongoing care coordination.
• Perform clinical procedures and manage acute conditions during patient visits, ensuring timely documentation in the EMR.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, mentor nursing staff, and uphold high standards of patient service and safety.
