Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 40-hour weekly role in Chestnut Hill, MA. The position supports Urology care, following RN protocol, med administration, and patient education. Hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM in a collaborative team setting.

As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for effective care delivery and management of patient care within a specialty, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to current standards of nursing practice. Communicates and coordinates effectively with all entities involved in the care of the patient to promote safe, high quality care. Making decisions reflecting critical thinking and evidence based nursing practice.

Position Details:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build therapeutic and supportive relationships with patients and families, providing education and managing care transitions.
• Deliver patient care and follow-up in alignment with RN protocols, including medication administration and chronic disease management.
• Conduct telephone triage, elevate concerns appropriately, and support the clinical team with ongoing care coordination.
• Perform clinical procedures and manage acute conditions during patient visits, ensuring timely documentation in the EMR.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, mentor nursing staff, and uphold high standards of patient service and safety.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a State-approved school of nursing
• Current, unrestricted, license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Proven to be up to date with current standards of nursing care in Specialty
• Computer experience with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs
• Electronic medical records (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty
• 2+ years of RN experience
• Proven ability to interpret clinical information, assess the implication of treatment and develop and implement a plan of care
• Proven ability to prioritise, multitask, and work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple demands
• Demonstrated solid critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and patient interviewing skills
• Demonstrated excellence in practice, documentation, and cost-effective care utilisation. Maintains high patient satisfaction
