Urology Opportunity in Olean, NY

Located just over an hour from Buffalo, NY

Position Details:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Seeking a BC/BE Urologist for a successful multi-specialty group
• Located in western NY State, 15 miles below the snow belt. Olean has milder winters compared to the rest of the state, with a community population of over 36,000 and a service area of more than 160,000. The community hospital has 186 beds.
• Physicians work Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with very limited call
• The group includes 18 specialties and 37 providers. Currently, no robotic surgery is performed.

About the Group:

The hospital is adjacent to our facility, with a dialysis center and wound care clinic nearby. A heliport is located at the rear, and a newly constructed ambulatory surgical center is across the street. This physician-owned group is progressive and congenial. They have been designated Level 3 PCMH since February 2012 and have fully integrated EMR since 2006. The main office includes an accredited lab, PT, and a fully digital radiology department. Four satellite offices are within 28 miles, with patients referred to the main office for additional testing.

About Olean, NY:

Olean offers great downhill skiing, a state park with ski trails and hiking, and a vibrant cultural scene including three theater companies (one for children) and a symphony orchestra. The economy is stable, supported by large industries, a university, a community college, and the hospital. Although not the county seat, all county employees (about 1,200) work here. The city is only 23 miles from a ski/golf resort, and residents enjoy affordable housing, excellent schools, shopping, and proximity to larger malls within an hour's drive.
